My first night, jesse and i met benny and rachel downtown at the purple pig. The next day I explored hyde park and saw jesse's pottery studio before cruising over to wicker park, where ben lives. We looked at comics at quimby's and ate mexican food at big star (paul kahan's new restaurant, who is also responsible for blackbird). That night we went to alex's art show at the reversible eye gallery in humboldt park and then went 'back to the grave' in bucktown (goth night at lucky number). The venue was smoky and had gravestones all over. The next day I relaxed with mom at the hotel downtown. Later, I marveled at the new light show at the bean with the family before eating deep dish pizza and drinking cherry cokes at pizanos. ♥
