cat power

On Thursday night I went downtown to see Cat Power perform at the 5th avenue theater as part of the city arts festival... I was familiar with some of her old song covers, which I really enjoy, and was excited to see her live.  The show was great, especially the first half, but it was too short- only an hour or so.  Chan Marshall is an interesting stage presence, as she is awkward and even apologized for being nervous... and she handed out white roses to the audience during her last song.  She is so soulful and i find her voice incredibly moving... sort of sad but comforting. <3
