  1. She had dropped the red crayon. She looked for it everywhere. She remembered that she had used it to make a valentine when she was young. But then she had left it behind, not putting it away in the flimsy crayola box. A colored pencil could be used for the task, but it was not the same. Still, it would have to do because there is no substitute for the color red. What would the world be without it? She wondered...and then decided to buy a new box of crayons! It was time, and they would get plenty of use.

  2. I liked the picture of your Halloween revelers. John and Jesse were here, but then they left for N.hampton. Jesse was dressed like a Day of the Dead woman. John left this house as John, all in black, with a really nice leather jacket. I called later to see if they were going to come back home to watch movies, but they didn't. I heard music in the background.

There is a very young doctor on TV from California. She is in Haiti fighting cholera. She is an infectious disease specialist in Haiti. She works with both doctors and nurses. Both are important jobs (just added this because it popped up on tv). Speech pathology and audiology are also important! There is a shortage of both. UMass has a AuD program, which prepares one to be an audiologist in hospital or clinical settings. Purdue has a program also. There are so many interesting and important things one can do. If you would ever like to talk to my advisor abt speech/language or to one of the audiologists at UMass, let me know. They do a lot of research with the developmental/cog psychologists at UMass.
