Last Sunday I went to a reading, which was part of a quarterly series called the mixtape readings, curated by my friend. It was held at cairo, a venue/boutique in capitol hill and two of the readings had performance art components. One was inspired by water and the other was done by my friend, who had all of us reading the lines from her poem off of the bottoms of cupcake wrappers. I helped her make the cupcakes (recipe by amy sedaris) the night before. Here is a short video of it:
so interesting; we place so much importance on order, and in the end, it does not matter.
