Return
Upon returning to seattle on Friday evening, jesse and I got dinner at oddfellows and headed to the symphony to hear ravel's la valse, a waltz of the macabre written to represent the fall of the gentry class after world war I and their subsequent disillusionment with grandeur. We also heard a section of taras bulba, composed by Leoš Janáček during the same period to represent the romantic nationalism of russia as they battled the poles. Both movements were dark and unsettling in the disturbing undertones. On saturday we had dim sum in the international district and got lychee soda at uwajimaya. We then set out on our twin peaks pilgrimage to snoqualmie falls and north bend. Afterwards we lost our souls to the metal gods at comet tavern, listening to the narrows and heiress. Everyday feels like halloween when i'm with jesse ♥♥ click here for more photos.
